Hey Fam,
We are the Fabellas! We are recently married, newish home owners, dog lovers and some call us crafty. We are ballin’ on a budget but love redesigning our home, which led us to basically DIY anything and everything. I’d like to think that with everything that we have done with our home we have added value to it, but that’s for the appraiser to determine. But with all numbers aside, we really do love making our house a unique, special and beautiful place. I think this will be a fun project to document the transformation of our home and if you’re interested in what we do, feel free to tag along and lurk.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Theo. I am currently writing this blog as my wife is sleeping, snoring next to me. My wife, Ana, and I have been married for almost a year, coming up in September 2019. We dated for 5 years prior through college. On year 3 of dating I decided to adopt a dog, Morty and later that year we adopted Mr. Feeny.
In 2016 we moved to Puerto Rico (with the pups) so that I could pursue a start up with some friends. It flopped, but it was still a great experience. On the relationship timeline we were well into year 4 of dating and at that time we moved back home, secured full time jobs, closed on a house and I proposed to Ana. We got married in late 2018, which was year 5 of dating and fast forward almost a year and that brings us to the present. We have had fortunate lives so far and are very grateful to have each other.
There are many more stories, projects, experiences to share to our family, to you the reader and to our future family. We hope you learn a bit about home DIY renovations and are inspired to take a leap forward yourself. The big takeaway is that we are an average thrifty couple with 9 to 5s, 2 dogs, a mortgage, a student loan and car loans and we are working hard create a home that is both functional and beautiful. We really believe having a home that looks beautiful and functions well has a huge positive impact on how we feel and how we live in our home.
